I want to order some some chocolate croissants from Paris, just for fun. Anyone know a great place to get excellent chocolate croissants in Paris that has online ordering capacity?

In my experience, the best ones were from a tiny neighborhood bakery and they were good because they were simple: crisp, golden, buttery, and with a thin line of half-melted bittersweet chocolate down the center, nothing else. The closest I've had stateside was from the La Brea Bakery in Los Angeles, which I highly recommend. If you are hellbent on ordering from Paris, be sure to choose the shortest shipping possible, since croissants are best when still oven-crisp (the things we have here are too soft and greasy). Lastly, you'll want to ask for pain au chocolat. They do not look like traditional croissants, but more like squarish pillows. It is the same dough though and they taste fabulous. Best of luck! ^_~
